Sorry I did not post an update already but here are the main things that have changed in the most recent versions.

Most notably are the changes to the theme css editor to improve theme dev experience when editing a theme through the admin, and that themes now apply to guest / non-authenticated pages (ie. login / register).

Additionally it is now possible to create themes that have the option of a sidebar. You can use new theme tokens <!-- USERSONLINE --> <!-- RECENTACTIVITY -->, <!-- RECENTLYONLINE --> and <!-- SHOUTBOX --> to include additional panels in your theme layout. More documentation will follow, in the meantime checkout my Flux theme for an example.
