Profiles and privacy

Could there be an option to make our profiles/email addresses private please? Just so anyone who joins cant view everyones details and perhaps send unwanted emails. We could also use an option to block another user like pro boards has.. you can block the user..posts, the lot,

Is there somewhere that emails are really obviously visible? Perhaps I might have overlooked something. Happy to add more privacy controls for sure so I will add that your profile essentially becomes "hidden" / not browsable.

As for user blocking, I'll take a look into it to see what other software does. It's not a feature I've ever used. If you've blocked a user, would you expect their posts just to be replaced with a message like "You have blocked this user", hidden completely or perhaps given some kind of overlay to hide the content until clicked?

I assumed that when someone joins and looks at your profile they can see your email addy? is that not the case? With Jcink..which is who my forum is with.,there is an option in your profile settings to add a user to a blocked list..so they cannot interact with you, and you dont see their posts. A handy feature if you have users who dont see eye to eye.. There is a message that simply says..this users posts are hidden…
