How do you deal with gaming frustration?

I remembered when I was playing a very interesting game and the network just spiked and everything freezed at the midlle of the game. That frustration was so huge that I almost throw my phone through the window.😂 I’ve noticed most of my anger while gaming don't even come from the game itself, it’s either a connection issue or a random lag. What about you?

keep calm and continue or take a break

"Please remain seated. The captain has absolutely no idea what he’s doing."

When I was a kid, I used to bang my Super Nintendo controller super hard against my forehead when I lost. Nowadays, I take a deep breath and think, "Oh well."

Ouch, that must've hurt your head more than the controller, haha!

Most certainly. We sure are dumb when we're young.

A build up of silent annoyance with the occasional huffing, and redoing whatever it is as many times as I need.

But if it gets to the point where I'm getting so frustrated that I'm just making even more mistakes, then I put the game on pause and walk away to do something else. Return to it when I'm calmer. Sometimes I'll look up guides if I feel like I'm not gonna get it.

As a kid, I pretty much did the same thing (I still have my PS1, it still works. I'm in my 30s now, lol. It's almost as old as me.) Except instead of walking away to do something else, I'd pester my older bro to "fix it" for me lol. And then he'd proceed to tell me that I screwed myself with my set up and there was no way he could fix it for me, that I'd have to start all the way over from the beginning! And so, I learnt to take a breather.

I can relate to that. Frustration sets in especially when the network start misbehaving in the mid-game. When it happened to me, I nearly switched off everything, I swear down. So, what I do is mute everything and step out, or I drink a bottle of cold water or just scroll random stuff on my phone.

Personally, I don't waste my time trying to keep playing the game in that moment when I'm being frustrated because I know there's no way I would progress. I'll just take some time off and come back later.
