Forum Access - View vs Read

Got a super simple question.
When it comes to Forum Access settings, what's the difference between View and Read?

View forums and read topics. 😊

For example if you’d like to have forums viewable to guests, but not let them able read the topics.

If I remove View access, the users will not see the forum itself in the homepage.
And if I remove the Read access, they can see the forums, click them and see the list of topics, but cannot click/read the topics.

Is that correct understanding?
