Not sure if this was asked before, but is there any plans on allowing users to self-host with Forum Spark? Not sure if self-hosting would fix reload times. I've been noticing that it takes quite a few seconds to open any page or any thread
Self-host?
I experience them when loading any page or visiting the site generally, when doing a website speed test, the load time for my forum was 1.75 seconds vs some other forums are 75-500 ms load time

No VPN on my end, just using chrome on my laptop and my desktop. It's not terrible lag or delay, just longer load times than I've experienced in the past
I wonder if it's Chrome that's the problem. That's one browser I refuse to use because I've had issues with it in the past.
Are there any Chrome extensions that you have that could cause a conflict?
I'm not sure what to advice. We hit scores close to 100 on pagespeed, GTmetrix, etc. I know that's not a 100% trustworthy and there's always isolated situations. But I recommend trying another browser to see if this is still an issue. If not, then I can further diagnose.
I did some further digging,
Things like our realtime service did slow things down. And I’ve made a few improvements to caching and querying, so there should be a noticeably difference. There is still a big difference between browsing as a guest and as logged in, which is something I’m hoping to reduce in the next versions. These aren’t slight improvements.
I'm also interested in self-hosting, sort of. I already have a domain name and pay for some small hosting for my MyBB forum, but I'm really enjoying the features of ForumSpark and would consider replacing my RP forum software if it's possible.
Would be amazing. I have used to use icyboards, but this takes me back to days of invisionfree just would be great if there was a self host option, have started over too many times.
It probably won't happen.
