I’ve turned the board offline..you can either purge it or just let it expire… Thanks for your help and patience… much as I like what I’ve seen…if silly little things like smileys and avatars wont work for me..in spite of you confirming everything is as it should be.. then sadly I wont be converting… Cheers..appreciate your help.. 🙂

No worries. One last thought, only if you're ever curious: everything points to the VPN on your iPad interfering with uploads rather than the forum itself, which is why nothing we changed on the board made a difference. And works on any other board or even worked for me on your own board. If you ever try again with it switched off for a minute, I suspect that avatar goes straight up. No pressure either way.

Ok… I disabled my VPN..same error…note it was enabled when I uploaded my avatar and siggy here… I just tried again and got timed out….error 419.

The other two things I dont like is allowing users to delete their accounts..proboards has this and I think it looks awful seeing ‘deleted user’ all over the forum. If someone wants to flounce off in a huff..fine..I’ll change their pw so they cant log in… I also dont like not being able to make pw protected forums… yes I can do the new group thingy but it’s a faff… much simpler the other way…. it is a shame… but there we are….

I believe delete account is required by law in some countries. Also I believe you can change the wording from “deleted user” to something more appealing. Perhaps, “former user” or anything you want.

Still cant upload an avatar and now a smiley. I am constantly getting time out messages..419… Also any smiley I uploaded previously appeared in a bar under the post box…not via the drop down smiley box IN the post box…all little things but they add up to be big annoying things….

I’m sorry, but everything on our end works perfectly. Maybe try a different device or computer, because there are no issues on our end.

For the record, your board is identical to the support forum or any other forum. Which leads to either a user error or a certain setting difference. If there would be a bug, the bug would also be here.

Well… there is a lot I like about FS…but things I don’t like as well. Thing I have on my current forum that I cant have here….plus I would miss my themes as well… So…I’ve given it a go but not for me… I’ve deleted all the forums I made anyway so when it expires in a week it will vanish into the ether… such is life…
