Phobias

Do you have any phobias and what are they?

I am afraid of heights. Never liked them, heck I freak out whenever I am at the mall on the second floor. I can't get near the railing! I'm also afraid of spiders.

I have a degree of social phobia which makes it hard for me to make friends or build relationships. I always feel like I am being judged or I will be judged by those I'm not very familiar with. For the record, I've never even been in a relationship my entire life and have had very few friends. Message boards and family have always been my primary social outlet.

I have social anxiety so I sort of get how you feel. I used to be much more shy than I am in real life. I "speak" better on forums too.

I used to be a mixture of shy/socially anxious, but nowadays I feel more introverted and a bit socially anxious. It's nowhere near as terrible when I was in school where I closed myself off to the world. Being mostly introverted has given me peace of mind where I don't even feel like I necessarily need to have friends or be in a relationship.

Only really scared of heights, even though when I was younger, I was a drywall hanger and was constantly do high ceilings on pieces of wood.

Heights… just looking at pics of people in high places makes my tummy flip…

My brother, everybody has one fear they rarely admit. Mine is not the dramatic movie type; it is the quiet fear of losing control in uncertain situations. I once got stuck in a crowded elevator during a brief power outage and that experience stayed with me longer than expected. It made me realize that fear often hides in everyday moments, not only in extreme scenarios.
