Discovering Boards Across the Network

How do y'all plan to help people discover boards across the network? An advertising forum, a directory, a profile field for users to input their board link, etc.

I've not really given a great deal of thought to this yet but I think every one of those suggestions will come into play.

It would be a nice addition for members of the support forum to be able to share their own communities with everyone (and also great for us to see too!). But if I was new to ForumSpark I don't think I'd necessarily look to the support forum to find new communities to join, so that's where some kind of (optional) directory would come in handy.

Yes, a directory would work wonders for discovering boards across the network. You do want to ensure that the directory is not full of dead boards, so having deleted/offline boards not listed in the directory is a good idea, and possibly a requirement for boards to be listed in the directory by having X log-ins or something similar every X amount of time. That's a random musing.
