Automatically watch topics - Disable - Yeah!! Still

Is it me! Even though I have "Automatically watch topics I reply to" turned off, disabled for all forums that I'm on And when I do post a topic/post, it still follows that content, still goes into watch mode. So my notifications goes CRAZY.......

Anyone else get that? I had nothing been reported about it.... Well, I have now XD

Did you by any chance turn off "Automatically watch topics I reply to" after posting on the topics? Does a topic where you are getting emails from say "Watch Topic" or "Unwatch Topic" ?

I had already disabled “Automatically watch topics I reply to” before I started posting on any of the forums except my own site.

While I was posting on EmpireKicking, I noticed the topics are being marked as watched, which is from the very start. I double-checked the setting and confirmed it was disabled, but even with it turned off the topics are still showing as watched after I reply to new topics/posts.

Because of this, I now have to manually unwatch each topic after I post in it.

Is anyone else experiencing this same odd behaviour? I'll await some replies. In the meantime, I'll have a look what could be causing this. I don't experience this at all unfortunately.

I believe it tends to happen more so on https://empirekicking.forumspark.net/ then anywahere else. that I'm noted more,

What's worse, even though all topics/posts are read, I'm still seeing some broads with unread marker :(

I've just checked your forum and reading all topics mark them as read. But I did notice your Stream Discussion and Upcoming Streams & Activities forums keep the unread marker. Can you verify this is the same on your end? Would you mind me having a peek at your ACP to see if there's anything conflicting?

I’ve tested this with another brand-new theme that has had no changes made to it, and the problem still happens. I also checked the default theme, and it’s doing the same there too.

So this doesn’t seem to be theme-dependent at all. It looks like the issue is coming from somewhere else, not from custom theme edits or added CSS.

Okay, I can see there is definitely an issue, but why it happened it a bit weird to me. I'm guessing, it'll resolve itself once we push our new update, but I'll keep you posted about this. If it doesn't, I'll do some further debugging, but for now please allow me some time to push the update to the boards and dig deeper if needed.

Well, at least it's not me.. Then again, it's been happening since I created it. How would you know if an update would resolve if you got no idea what it is XD

Your mark as read issue has been resolved. There was a minor bug with subforums having content but empty main forums where we couldn't mark as read. You should now be able to mark as read. There's a temporary admin account, feel free to remove.

That's better, as soon as you resolved it, it was already marked as read right away :)
