Trying to upload an avatar on my forum spark site..I get an error 405.. what is that? Cant upload a siggy like I have here…(the bunny) same error…

If you still have issues, turn your VPN off and upload.

It’s a 2MB image, likely your Avatar limits in admin/preferences (Member & Access tab) is set to 200kb. Increase it to 3000kb and you’ll be able to upload the avatar.

Nope… changed it to 3000.. then 5000..also changed the width to 500… same error… tried to use the one I have here… nope..

Can you try 800×800 and 4000KB? Make sure you hit Save.

I have just done this on a test board and it allowed me to upload your image.

Nope..same error and yes I clicked save…. never mind… it’s not the end of the world…why it works here and not there is beyond me….

Mind if I login and check your settings? This is done through the platform with an official account that you can delete after.

There is nothing wrong. Your avatar page shows correctly:

Choose an avatar from your local machine to upload. Maximum file size is 4000kb and max dimensions are 800x800.

I was able to upload the avatar.

Then why wont it upload? Just tried again…nope… same error… 🤷‍♀️

I see you’re uploading through your phone. Is your image 2MB or much larger? Worth checking if we’re actually uploading the same image.

I’m on my ipad… I uploaded my avatar and siggy here using my ipad…. I even tried changing browser… nope… I’ve tried upload the same images I have uploaded here… nope… I’m at a loss…

I..(wrongly) assumed that when I uploaded smileys they’d appear in the drop down box in the post box…. I’ve deleted them now…no point if they’re microscopic….

35.89 kb… the same image I have HERE… it wont upload…
