In what ways do you show appreciation for your members?

I really try to foster a relationship with them. I try to post about things they like and listen to their feedback.

I basically give them a big voice in decision making on the community.

I agree, the communities i’ve ran in the past have always been close knit, almost like a family and friends type atmosphere. So members have a big input on the community.

I think that’s the real trick here. Try to make your forum membership feel like a “close-knit family,” and that’s how you can keep most people motivated to engage and feel appreciated.

If I feel like I’m part of the community or family, I’m going to visit again and again to be close to my people. 🙂
